Charles de Gaulle International Airport also called Roissy Airport in one of the primary aviation centers of the world as well as it is the main airport of France. It got its name from Charles de Gaulle, leader of Free France Forces living between 1890-1970 and founder of Fifth France Republic. The airport is close to Roissy, in North-Eastern direction and 25 kilometers away from Paris.
Charles de Gaulle International Airport became second running airport following Heathrow Airport (67,530,223 travelers) in London with 56,808,967 traveler traffic in 2006. It became first in Europe with 541,566 flights compared to number of flights during the same year.
